The annual Karns Christmas parade returns on Saturday, December 7th. 2024. The lineup will begin at 7:00 am in the Ingles parking lot. Please follow the instructions of Officers and Volunteers as we wrangle everyone into the lot. (See map for info) Enter the lot from the red light location only and only vehicles in the parade will be allowed to proceed around the building, all support vehicles will need to park in the lot. If you have multiple entries we encourage you to please meet somewhere off-site and arrive together! This is the only way to ensure you will roll out together. please be respectful of Ingles and don't block their doors or the parking spaces closest to the building, also please leave no trash of any kind in their parking lot, keep it clean please! The parade will step off at exactly 9 am and will follow the normal route of Oak Ridge hwy from Ingles to the Karns red light. Oak Ridge hwy will close just before 9 am so make alternate plans if you need to avoid the parade.
Remember, there is only one Santa, and he closes the parade, so no Santa costumes, please.
We will once again award trophies for Best Community, Best Business and Best Youth along with the trophy for the "Battle of the schools" for the school with the most participation. We would love to see more "float type" entries in the parade! So start building your best now and bring home the trophy!
For any who can't make it out, the parade will once again be livestreamed on YouTube by our great friends at the Karns Network.
